Naota is just your ordinary boy living in your ordinary town. Besides the fact that his brother's girlfriend Mamimi can't keep her hands off of him, life isn't really exciting. But all of a sudden some extraordinary things start to happen.

An older girl by the name of Haruko appears on her Vespa and smashes him over the head with a bass guitar, causing robots and other miscellaneous items to occasionally emerge from his brain. And now the towering Medical Mechanica plant, which happens to look like an iron and has been inactive for years, seems to be starting up...

"FLCL" is the brainchild of Studio GAINAX, the same studio that has brought such memorable anime as "Gunbuster," "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "The Wings of Honneamise" and "Kareshi Kanojo no Jijo." With striking visuals and "in your face" pacing "FLCL" is clearly unforgettable.
