Digital Manga, Inc. and Broccoli Co. are joining forces to bring a new kind of anime store in the US. The first retail store is slated to open later this summer in West Los Angeles.

To celebrate the opening of the retail store, we are creating a whole new commercial featuring Di Gi Charat.

The commercial will have new character designs and two new characters!

Synch-Point will be producing the English version of the commercial theme song "Welcome" sung by Karen Hsin, who was selected from an open audition of 30 participants. To view the lyrics for the English adaptation of "Welcome" click here.

The auditions to find the English voice for Dejiko took place at Anime Expo 2001. Among the 30 who audition at Anime Expo 2001, only five remained (Marisa Dutton, Emma Sakaguchi, Karen Hsin, Casey Strand and Elizabeth Switzer). It was a tough decision, but among those five Karen was chosen to be the voice of Dejiko.
