Q. How does the audition process work?
A. We will be selecting 10-30 people from the demo tapes we receive for the closed-session audition at Anime Expo (Long Beach, CA).

From the closed-session audition, we will select 5 candidates for the final audition. The final audition will be held in front of a live-audience & guest judges at Anime Expo.

Preliminary Auditions:
Date - July 5, 2001 (Thurs)
Time - 1:00pm to 7:00pm
Location - Westin Hotel (Long Beach, CA)

Final Auditions:
Date - July 7, 2001 (Saturday)
Time - 10:00am to 11:00am
Location - Hyatt Hotel (Long Beach, CA)

Other information will be posted shortly.

Q. When will I find out if I'm selected to audition?
A. We will begin calling actresses to set up audition time slots on Monday, June 25, 2001.

Q. What if my demo tape gets there a few days late?
A. We will be accepting demo tapes & CDs until June 27, 2001. We cannot guarentee that we will be able to review your demo tape if it comes after June 22 (Friday).

For those selected to participate in the preliminary auditions on July 5 (Thurs), we will be contacting via phone. Time slots for the preliminary auditions will be filled in on a first-come-first-served basis.

If you cannot make it to either of the audition dates (July 5 and July 7), please do not apply.

Q. How do I record a demo?
A. It can be recorded on a regular cassette tape, CD, Mini-Disc, DAT... anything that we can play back! It does not have to be recorded at a sound studio.

Q. Can I record my demo on a CD?
A. CDs are OK too.

Note: Please make sure you label your demo tape or CD with the following information:
- Your name
- Your contact information (address, phone number, and/or email address)

Q. Do you have any sample lines I can use for the demo?
A. Sorry, we don't have any sample lines. Here are some things you can do:

1. Use a script from a play
2. Write your own script for a commercial (e.g. jot down lines from a fast food restaurant commercial on TV or radio)
3. Take lines from manga translations, fanfics, fansubs, etc.

Q. What about the photos?
A. Photos can be either headshots (B & W 8x10 glossy photo) or a regular photo of yourself. We will be using it to identify you during the audition process (cuz it's easier to remember faces than names).

Q. Can I send a cosplay photo?
A. As long as it can help us identify you, any photo will do.

Q. What do I include in the resume?
A. Resumes should list any prior acting experience. The acting experience DOES NOT need to be professional/paid performances.

You can list anything from school plays to fandubs. Just let us know when it was, the title of the show, and what character you played.

Your resume should also include your contact information at the top (like a normal work resume)!

If you have any other abilities (dancing, playing sports, speaking w/ an accent, speaking a foreign language, etc), then you should list those too.

You can also include all the different voice types (e.g. old woman, energetic boy, baby, animals) you can do.

Q. Do I have to live in Los Angeles to qualify?
A. No, you do not have to live in Los Angeles, but it's required that you are able to make it to the audition at Anime Expo (Long Beach, California) and the recording sessions (our West Los Angeles office). So you will need to be in Los Angeles during those times.

Q. Does the complementary pass to Anime Expo include airfare and hotel?
A. No, you are responsible for coming to Anime Expo on your own.

Q. I'm a guy. Can I try out?
A. Unfortunately, we are not casting any male roles at this time. We will be having open auditions for other titles, so check back this site often!
