Synch-Point Acquires Aquarian Age the Movie
Los Angeles, CA (February 5, 2004)-Synch-Point, the company that
released the hit series FLCL, has announced today that they have
acquired Aquarian Age the Movie. Aquarian Age the Movie is set for
release in 2004.
An original story by Broccoli Co., Ltd, Aquarian Age the Movie features
characters designed by Haruhiko Mikimoto (Super Dimension Fortress
Macross), an opening song by Yoko Takahashi (Neon Genesis Evangelion),
and animation by Mad House (Vampire Hunter D).
Aquarian Age the Movie is based on the popular trading card game of the
same name. "Although the movie is based off of the game, people who are
not familiar with it can still enjoy it," says producer Shizuki
Yamashita. "The story and characters are rich as to be enjoyable to
Aquarian Age fans and those new to the title alike."
About Aquarian Age the Movie
During the chaotic period known in Western astrology as the Aquarian
Age, the alien ERASER fleet attacks Earth, ravaging cities. However, a
counteroffensive is launched. The four factions--ARAYASHIKI, WIZ-DOM,
DARKLORE, and E.G.O.--who have been fighting each other for control of
Earth, join forces to defeat the ERASERS.
In the aftermath, Earth is placed under the unified rule of the POLESTAR
EMPIRE. However, peace is shattered when the EMPIRE begins to use
forbidden magic. These dark powers cause dimensional rifts around the
world and once again plunge Earth into chaos and warfare.
Aquarian Age the Movie was originally released in Japan in November of
2003 under the title "Aquarian Age Saga II OVA ~Don't Forget Me.~" to
overwhelming success.
